Diesel Turbo Repair in Phoenix
Diesel turbo repair fixes the VGT turbocharger and its actuator when your truck drops into limp mode or loses boost. Truck & Equipment Specialists diagnoses actuator versus turbo, cleans or replaces the VGT, and fixes the root cause in shop or mobile across the Phoenix metro.

Most turbo problems we see on the Ford 6.7 Power Stroke come down to one of two things: carbon locking up the VGT vanes, or the electronic actuator giving out. Both put you in limp mode or pull your power right when you need it. We figure out which one it is before we sell you a turbo.
Jonathan has spent 10+ years on diesels and built his name working on the 6.7 Power Stroke specifically. When your truck won't build boost or throws a P0299, we test the actuator against the turbo, do the work, and set the root cause right so it holds. Same job, in our Phoenix shop or mobile across the metro.
Diagnose actuator versus turbo
A P0299 or a truck stuck in limp mode does not tell you whether the turbo or the actuator failed. We test the VGT actuator, check the position sensor and wiring, and confirm the vanes are actually free before we recommend anything. That one step saves people from buying a full turbo they did not need.
Clean or replace the VGT
Carbon builds up on the vane pivot pins and the unison ring, mostly from idling and short trips, until the vanes stick and boost goes sideways. Depending on how far gone it is, we free up and clean the VGT or replace the turbo with an OEM or OEM-improved unit built to last in Phoenix heat.
Replace a failed actuator
The electronic actuator runs a stepper motor to move the vanes. When the gears strip or the position sensor quits, you get relearn codes like P2263 or P226C and inconsistent boost. We replace the actuator, run the relearn, and confirm it is holding position.
Fix the root cause
We do not just swap the part and hand you the keys. We check for the carbon and short-trip patterns that killed the first one, look at the wiring and oil feed, and address what caused the failure so the repair actually lasts instead of coming back in a few months.
In shop or mobile across Phoenix
Some of this we can handle at your yard or driveway anywhere in the Phoenix metro, especially diagnosis and actuator work. Heavier turbo replacement usually comes into the shop. Either way you talk to the person doing the work, not a service writer.
